Objectives

• Encourage and support HCI research and practice
• Promote excellence in research and application of HCI standards and principles
• Support development and application of design principles based on human needs and capabilities
• Provide a forum for interaction between HCI research, training and industry through OZCHI, at least every two years, by ensuring that a wide range of topics are addressed in tutorials, workshops, exhibitions, trade shows and interactive experiences
• Communicate HCI issues and principles to the public
• Encourage training and education in HCI analysis, design and evaluation.
